Sebastian's

Rebecca located Sebastian's in one of her online guides and suggested it. I do suggest booking as it can be busy! We were seated quickly and thankfully somewhere warm inside as it was raining that night.

I hadn't had pizzas for a while and chose one of my favourites, capricciosa (mushrooms, olives, bacon/ham). I was impressed from the second I saw it. The pizza was brought out on a wooden disc, well oiled. The dough was not too soft, or hard, an excellent balance and flour dusting underneath. The cheese was just right, well melted and warm but not a swimming mess. The olives, delicious, as well as the mushrooms and bacon. Admittedly the olives and bacon together became a little salty, but that is expected from a capricciosa pizza. The bacon could have had the fat trimmed a little more but I found that it added to the perfect balance of textures. This was the best pizza I ever had, without question.

I had a chinotto drink to accompany it. I would have preferred limonata (lemon) or an aranciata rossa (blood orange) but still found this a fantastic combination.

The price of the pizza was very good too, definitely worth it ($20) The service was prompt, friendly. I don't care about the decor. I'm awarding a rare five stars.
